Icons

So for my Identity and Brand Design class our first project was to make some black and white icons that would function in a 3x3 inch size. We had to pick three objects that we thought would work best. 45 sketches and many, many hours later and this is what I've got!

 

This is Drew Brees! Best QB ever! I chose to do him because I thought he would be awesome and I'm just really super psyched about the Saints! Plus he's an iconic figure ;-)

 

Flamingo. I chose this big bird because I love their totally recognizable figures. And they are some of my favorite animals to see at the zoo!

 

Frog. I chose this guy because I thought his eye would be awesome, and it is. He is also pretty cool in general, but he came out as my least favorite.

The Beginning

One of my professors has asked my class to start a blog dedicated to our artwork. I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, so what better time to start? How often will I update? Good question. I guess as I have new things to show you I will show you! I think I'm just going to start with this new semester's adventures, so hang tight, I just started. I guess I can share this with you...

Here I am playing around in my bathroom with my neeew (well new to me) Canon 30D! Woohoo! Not my lens, (Thanks Laura) but hey it's a start! I'm working on that whole lens thing. Anyways, I love my new camera, as soon as I get a lens hopefully there will be many photographic adventures to share (which will be of my own will because I'm not taking a photography class right now!). I'm excited.
